Time technicians at the National Institute of Standards & Technology (set a new level of precision in 1949 by inventing the atomic clock. It counted the oscillations of the nitrogen atom in an ammonia molecule–and was reliable to within one second in three years.
The wonders of God’s creation testify to the precision of God. Likewise, the Word of God is described as a precise instrument, like a sharp two-edged sword.
Hebrews 4:12 describes the power of God’s Word, alive and dynamic.
“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires”
Anyone who is believer knows the Bible is not just a bunch of rules, it is a revelation of God and His plan for us. The Bible talks to us about real life. It addresses issues such as: Who made the world? Why are we here? What is our purpose? Where are we going?
This Word is not only alive and up-to-date and contemporary—it is the only word that is truly contemporary and up-to-date. Look at the problem of the world as it is at the present time. How do you face it? Well, first of all, you ask: What is the world? Where did it come from?
Only the bible as the answers to all these questions. Let us embrace the sharp word of God wholeheartedly.
