“Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.” (Revelation8:3)
Heavenly Father, the culture of the first church in Acts, was their devotion to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, communion and prayers. These are vital elements in the church life.
Without prayer, we wouldn’t really have a relationship with God. It is absurd to think that we could call God our friend without talking and spending time with God. Praying is all about the heart. No matter what we say, God is always there. Prayer is a journey into the great relationship we have with God. It is a privilege. Praying isn’t about what we are doing, it’s about what we are looking for – a deeper relationship withGod. If we seek with open hearts, God will do the rest. No calamity is beyond God’s sovereignty.
Prayer is a spiritual battle to bring in the harvest. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of the strongholds of the enemy. Pray for the will of God to be fulfilled over our land. Malaysia is ready for the harvest. Let’s join our hearts in prayer for selfless workers of this harvest, for the Lord did promise, “If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” (Jhn.14:14).
Heavenly Father, when we google and use the Internet, there is a dizzying array of answers, so we have to be aware that the search itself may not be good for us. It may give us a headache.
But if we’re looking for something that’s 100% good for us all the time – seek the Word of God:
- It can keep you pure (Psm.119:9, 11)
- It blesses you (Luke 11:28)
- It makes you wise (Mat.7:24)
- It gives light and understanding (Psm.119:130)
- It helps you grow spiritually (1Pet.2:2)
The Lord is good to all. He’s provided to those who love him with a guide that helps us see how to enhance our relationship with him. As we try to decide how to live in a world full of choices, praise God that he’s told us in Scripture what’s good for us.
Father, help us to remember that we can pray to you anytime, anywhere and about anything. Thank you for always listening. Our faith is built on Jesus Christ and we can get through each day knowing that he and his love are the foundation of our lives. Thank you for leaving us your inspired Word. Help us to read it carefully, interpret it correctly and apply it enthusiastically in our lives. God’s Word is the only sure foundation for life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” (Ephesians 6:17)
