RAISING ANOINTED GENERATION (part 2)
– A team of six(6) from LifeKids attended a Children Ministry Conference (CMC) in Surabaya that was organized by Gereja Mawar Sharon (founded by Rev. Philip Mantofa) on March 16-17, 2018.
Angel: I am grateful that I brought along with me five(5) teachers for this conference. The conference theme on “Raising Anointed Generation” was the key reason why I was interested to go. The workshops were very much aligned with the direction of LifeKids – “building momentum, Holy Spirit for children, becoming God’s children, chosen dads, parenting without anger, arrow generation, rise iGen” etc.
Prayer – Purpose – Posture – Pursue are the 4P’s that I have taken back from Children Ministry Conference (CMC) in Surabaya:
Prayer – As a children leader, I must make sure that my team are praying. Without prayer, our inner life won’t be strong. Without prayer, revival won’t come. Without prayer, our children (and we) won’t hear God.
Purpose – I need to lead my team with a clear direction, clear process and clear destination. The ministry has to be built upon a good vision and purpose.
Posture – Whatever that we do, our posture (our heart) has to be aligned with God. We need to make sure that our children know the Word of God and not just some bible stories. They have the right to know the truth. We need to make sure that LifeKids is heading the right direction along with the church and with Christ.
Pursue – We must have faith to pursue the heart of our children. No matter what it takes, bring our kids’ heart to God because whoever that gets the children, gets the world.
Stephanie: What I learned from this experience is that we must be prepared and ready to teach the children about God wholeheartedly because we are in the middle of a movement to impact the children’s lives. The momentum of the ministry depends on what we do, so we should give our best for the children who are the next generation.
Alyson: “We must first be children before we can become fathers”
Jesus didn’t come to us as a man but as a child. He had to learn and grow as a child before he could be a father to people. In the same way, we should teach the children to be good children first only then can they grow up to be leaders.
Wendy: I had doubted when they showed video of children crying out to God with all their heart. When Pr. Philip preached on the pillars of fire and cloud, I encountered the Holy Spirit in such a powerful manner for the first time. I could feel pressure in my stomach rising up and caused me to burst into tears, shivered and cried out with all my being, and my doubts were gone.
During the children’s crusade meetings, the church asked the fathers to surrender their children to Father’s Love as God our Abba Father is the spiritual father of all, the earthly fathers are but stewards. During this time the speaker asked us to lift up our hands to receive the Holy Spirit. Through it all, God ministered to me and removed the stronghold of grief I carried with me from the loss of my late son and the sufferings he endured.
Angel: If you catch a glimpse of the passion from our five teachers, or the efforts and energy of any teachers in LifeKids, or if you are seeking for a ministry to be in and have no idea where to start, LifeKids will be the best and the right place for you to be on your search. We are constantly on a lookout for volunteers – teachers, guardians and non-teaching volunteers.
I want to invite you to join us in LifeKids. Our requirements are simple: communicable, caring and committed. Also, I seek your partnership (to you reading this) to bring LifeKids from a ministry to a movement in raising anointed children that will storm their world (and ours) for the Kingdom of God. Church, RAIN IS COMING.
