Culture of Faith to uncap limitations to God’s Unlimited Possibilities
Increasingly, many believers yearn to see greater of God’s glory, power, miracles, signs and wonders. It is prayer of faith in true worshippers of the living God who will change circumstances in the world. All know that God can do the impossible. This year you can step into your next level of faith to see the God of Unlimited Possibilities. It is your opportunity to build your kingdom family, leading your children in the way and mission of Jesus. In this way, you help your children see beyond this material world because God has set eternity in human hearts, that is, you and your children (Eccl 3:11).
A culture of faith that uncaps internal belief for God’s unlimited possibilities is one that upgrades or changes our previous mentally imprinted belief system. A 72 year old brother shared with me his life transforming story. At the age of 68, a friend has been encouraging him to believe in Jesus. With over 60 years of pagan worship, he was not about to change. But his financial problem from gambling and failed business chalked up debts of 2.3 million ringgit. With loan sharks on his back, he ran overseas. Four years ago he returned to Malaysia, believing in Christ. He was full of fear until he read a Sunday bulletin in our church. The scriptures in it had profound effect on him. Fear lifted. Faith came into his heart. He is now a discharged bankrupt after merely four years. To him, God heard his prayer and did what he thought was impossible. He had changed his belief system; from idols that did not help him to Jesus who did for him what he thought was impossible. Most importantly the imprint of fear he had was replaced with a new blueprint of faith which includes habitually witnessing and bringing others to church. This is God’s blueprint for him all along. He caught up. So we must too.
People have different faith experiences imprinted internally. To upgrade our faith, we need new faith habits that form a culture of faith. Culture must be habitually practiced until a new blueprint is printed in our mind and heart. I am referring to a renewal of mind that believes what Jesus says in Matthew 19:26 “with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible”. The Holy Spirit helps you identify your habits of faith. If your faith is capped by unbelief, doubt, fear of trusting, or prolonged unanswered prayer, this can be your breakthrough year. If you think God had bypassed you because you are not like others who pray fluently, your inferiority can end. In the Bible Jesus did not abandon doubting Thomas. When Jesus visited his disciples in a closed room, he headed straight to Thomas to show him the signs he asked for. Jesus comes to you with the impossible even in your weakness!
