Be a Leader, Leave a Legacy, Touch a Life.
Dear church,
The launch of this year’s theme of ‘The Year of God’s love’ was a festive affair. The foundation of God’s love will form the right basis for every motive and action. We will walk with great security, fruitfulness and power. Like the 5 Fs in ‘The Year of God’s possibilities’, our focus areas this year will be 3 Ls- Leadership, Legacy and Lives.
The Lord left instructions for you and I to make disciples. This is our commission. Together this commission is the promise that His presence and authority will empower us in this great task that has eternal implications for many many lives. How have you carried out the Lord’s instruction so far? To make disciples it is necessary for us to lead starting first with our own families and then with our friends and colleagues to influence them in the ways of the Lord.
Leadership is not a matter of personality but a matter of Christian heritage. We are the light of the earth and our Lord said that our light must not be hidden under cover. The best legacy we can leave behind is legacy of Christian faith and character. A survey shows that only 20 percent of children who attends Sunday school still keep their faith by the time they reach 29. Folks, we must not allow the devil to win over our children. To help us leave a faith legacy for our children, we are introducing a series of lessons called ‘Life Choices’ which will help empower our children to make the right choices in their transitions in life. Finally, we are believing for each of us to touch at least one life for the Lord this year. Every one of us are here because someone touched our lives with the gospel, through prayer or invested their time with us. We can do the same for another life this year. The life that you touched will in turn be an instrument to touch other lives and your one touch will have continuous impact and eternal ramifications.
The Lord bless you. God is surely at work among us.
The best is Coming.
Love,
Pr Ron & Grace Hee
