Jubilee represents to us the year of release, restoration, rest, renewal and rejoicing. In it we deepen our vision with Jubilee in our homes. I shared with our leaders and Pastors in March this year regarding discipleship of families of influence that will bless our generations. Our Group Senior Pastoral Team proclaimed our New Life Restoration Churches as “Generations Church”. This is about discipling our fathers and blessing them so that they may powerfully impart to their wives and children the father’s blessing. I learned this from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is not an OT thing but it is a kingdom principle where God’s rule continues from generation to generations. The older are discipled and are useful to the Lord in bringing up the younger. This vertical relationship with hearts of fathers turned to children and hearts of children turned to fathers releases God’s blessings to the land (Malachi 4:6).
In deepening our vision of Bringing up People, Building the Church and Blessing the Nations with “Generations Church” I introduced to our churches the kingdom culture with its four elements:
• Culture of Faith
• Culture of Honour
• Culture of Prayer
• Culture of Blessings
Churches are catching on in these. Some have developed ways and means to inspire the habit of faith in their churches.
Then Lord sent us Duranno Fathers School. This school has blessed fathers in our churches. It has changed lives and marriages. Fathers are in the faith of obeying God’s Word to love wife and family. These families honour God the heavenly Father as they honour one another. This is the culture of honour.
In the culture of Prayer, churches increase in prayer. Besides praying for the recent General Elections, they are having their own dawn prayer. Currently, churches are fasting and praying for the nation for 40 days. This weekend another significant move by the churches: 200 prayer warriors, leaders and Pastors gathered and were trained in the Armour Bearer Seminar given by Pr Jonathan Mok from ICC Church, Brisbane, Australia. With members praying for their Pastors and leaders and the church, the Lord will release blessings from his open heavens. Victories and miracles will fall upon our churches.
We thank the Lord for putting the pieces together. I can’t wait to see more of what the Lord will do in the days ahead.
